MovieMaker for Mac gives you the tools to make movies from your photos and then share them with your friends through email or Vimeo. You can add entire folders or select photos individually, and then just process them and watch your movie.
Pros
Quick processing: Once you've added your photos, the Rendering step is very quick. And once it's done, you can view a preview of your movie to make sure everything is in order before you send it off to your friends.
Convenient sharing: If you're satisfied with the movie you've made, you can quickly share it straight from the app via the Share features. This includes options to send your video in an email or as an SMS, or to upload it straight to Vimeo. While this is a common feature of most mobile apps, it's not often included in apps for the computer.
Cons
Lots of bugs: We had difficulty with several aspects of adding photos to the app during testing. The drag-and-drop feature did not work, and sometimes the movie we created only contained the last photo added rather than all of the ones we'd included.
Bottom Line
MovieMaker is a quick and straightforward way to create stop-action videos from your photos. It does have a lot of bugs, and the free trial version only allows up to 100 photos per movie. The full version costs $4.99, but there is no time limit on the trial, so you'll have plenty of time to see if it fits your needs.
